YOUR GENTLY USED ITEMS CAN HELP SUPPORT FUTURE NURSES
Thank you for donating to the Shawnee Mission LaSertoma Annual Garage Sale for Charity. Your donations help make our sale possible, with monies raised helping to support nursing scholarships at Johnson County Community College (JCCC) and other charitable programs in our community.
We appreciate items that are clean, complete, in good working condition and ready for a new home.
✓ We’d Love to Receive
Home Goods & Kitchenware
Pots and pans, dishes, glassware, bakeware, serving pieces, vintage kitchenware and other useful household items.

Hand tools, power tools in good working condition, gardening tools and supplies, and extra hardware.
Toys, Games & Baby/Children’s Items
Complete board games and puzzles, clean toys, children's books and gently used children's clothing.
Small & Manageable Furniture/Exercise Equipment
End tables, nightstands, small bookshelves, occasional chairs and other furniture that can be easily moved by our volunteers.

Small Appliances & Electronics

And more!
Have something that doesn't fit one of these categories? Use your best judgment. If it's clean, useful and in a condition you'd be comfortable giving to a friend, there's a good chance someone else would be happy to find it at our sale.
✕ Please Do Not Donate
To keep our volunteers safe and avoid disposal costs for items we cannot sell, please do not bring:
Broken, Damaged or Soiled Items
Items that are broken, badly stained, torn, missing essential parts or not in usable condition.
Large, Heavy or Difficult-to-Move Items
Mattresses, oversized armoires, very large furniture, heavy appliances and similar items that are difficult for our volunteers to safely handle.
Safety-Sensitive Items
Used car seats, expired helmets, recalled baby equipment or other items for which age, condition or safety history could be a concern.
Hazardous Materials
Paint, chemicals, fuel, tires, expired food or other hazardous or potentially unsafe materials.
Outdated or Oversized Electronics
Tube/CRT televisions, very large entertainment centers and outdated electronics that are difficult to resell or dispose of.
A Simple Rule of Thumb
Would you be happy to buy it at a garage sale?
If the answer is yes, we'd probably be happy to receive it!
Please remember that our sale is staffed by volunteers, so clean, organized and sale-ready donations are especially appreciated.
